Here we have an absolutely charming 1887 large original town house in the popular bustling village of Villalonga.
Villalonga has all of the main amenities one could require. A new medical centre, two dentists, large supermarket, twice weekly fresh produce market, four bakeries, three butchers, a beautiful hotel, schools, two fantastic restaurants, a hotel, shops, and lots of great tapa’s bars.
The house is in fantastic condition and boasts more than 306m2 constructed. Reformed in 1995 to a high standard whilst maintaining the original Valencian styles and details. The house is owned by a family who now live in Valencia capital, and who no longer come to use this beautiful home.
The main facade of the house is very deceptive, and does not bear resemblance to the actual size of the property, rooms and outside areas of the actual house. I think that it is well worth mentioning that Villalonga, a village of just over five thousand inhabitants still does not have any bed and breakfast or independent casa rural. Something that would certainly work in this area of La Safor.
The house is entered by two huge original solid oak doors into a wide reception area with lovely Valencian style floors and half tiled walls, there is a lot of attention to detail, with some gorgeous pillar mouldings and beautiful original chandeliers.
The ground floor comprises of a lounge dining room with open fireplace and chimney, a good size fully fitted solid pine kitchen with a large open larder, storeroom and direct access out onto the large rear patio and terrace area. To the rear of the lounge diner there is access to a ground floor shower room and the large open staircase leading to the next two levels. The lounge area also has access through huge solid oak doors and glass summer doors out onto the large rear very private patio area.
Back inside and up the stairs take you to the first floor with a large reception area leading to three large double bedrooms and a wonderful 3/4 tiled large bathroom with full size bath, two matching wash basins with solid marble top. The large front bedroom has parquet wooden flooring, built in wardrobes, wooden beam Valencian arched ceilings and solid hardwood windows, shutters and small balcony looking out over the parking towards the chapel square close by. The second large double bedroom is also entered from this reception area. Like the reception area, it also has wonderful original beautiful Valencian tiled flooring, high wooden beam ceilings, ornate ceiling lamp and access to a balcony looking over the rear garden. The third double bedroom can either be entered directly from a door in the hallway, or from a door in the far corner of the second bedroom. Further up the lovely staircase will take you up onto the second and final floor which is a huge well lit open plan lounge area with highlighted original stone walls, and a large private terrace.
This area if required could also be made into a huge master bedroom and lounge chillout area, large studio, library or study, or maybe several extra bedrooms, the choice really is yours. To the rear of this huge upper floor there is another large open room, currently used for storage, but would also make a good size bedroom, studio or large bathroom. To the far end of this room there is access via a door out into the upper gardens, a large area currently unused by the current owners.
The outside space consists of a large patio area with planted raised borders and a good size undercover terrace. An ideal spot for Al Fresco dining, outside events and entertaining. From this large patio area there are steps up to the large upper terrace.
To the right of the stairs as you approach the upper terrace area there is a door through into a huge room, currently empty, but home to the gas hot water boiler. This is another area which could easily be made into extra rooms or studio etc, the choice is endless.
