If you are looking for a Casa Rural, Bed and Breakfast or just a good size family house smack bang in the middle of the lovely villages of Palma de Gandia and Ador with a lovely private garden, then no need to look any further.
This large 278 m2, potentially nine-bedroom house was originally built in 1887, and is just waiting to be transformed into a magnificent home. With a relatively new roof and structurally sound construction, this lovely old house has some real character just not encountered in the great majority of Spanish town houses.
The house can be found on the edge of the village of Palma de Gandia, close to the beautiful San Miguel Arcángel church. The village has a population of approximately 1660 inhabitants, with the neighbouring village of Ador with approximately 1200 inhabitants. Palma de Gandia has its own Medical centre, shops, two good small supermarkets, weekly market, bakers, butchers and public swimming pool. Ador also has an inside heated public swimming pool for all year around use. The surrounding stone streets are filled with some wonderful properties in this typically Spanish setting.
The house is entered from the lovely quiet street via a beautiful original wooden and glass door in great condition. Entering into the wide entrance hall you will find two large bedrooms, one to either side of the doorway. Both rooms have front facing windows out to the street.

Further on into the house and you have a great size lounge/dining area with large feature open working fireplace. From the side of the lounge, there is another good size bedroom to the left and a quaint little old wash room with its own separate entrance. This would be an ideal space for another lower bathroom.
I must admit my head was churning with loads of different ideas of what could actually be done with the layout from the moment I first saw the property, and of course everyone’s ideas are different, which makes it even more exciting.

Towards the rear of the lounge, you will find a good size well-lit kitchen with plenty of fitted cupboards with white marble worktops and views towards the rear garden. In this section of the house there is the fully tiled bathroom, and a smaller bedroom/office with window out towards the garden.
From two wooden and glass French doors at the rear of the lounge there is access to the very private garden with three separate terraces and mature plants, mainly Jasmin, Hibiscus and a lovely old lemon tree. To the left of the garden there is a storage building with pan tiled roof, which would make an excellent outside bar and BBQ with its own private little terrace. With little work this garden could be made into a fabulous area to spend ones time.
Back inside the house and up the original staircase with its iron banisters and ornate inset Valencian ceramic tiles takes you onto a huge landing and access to a further possible 5 good size bedrooms, or even three large studios. A door way leading off of the main landing takes you up further steps into a large attic. Here you have a sufficient area for further rooms, or maybe one master bedroom with ensuite. The choice is entirely up to you. The installation of some larger windows on this level would also allow for some excellent views of the Costa Blanca coast, out over the orange groves towards the Mediterranean Sea.
